First Post re Zambia trip 2012
Dear All,
This is my first posting to a blog!!!!
I feel very proud and privileged to have been accepted as Veolia Water's representative on the WaterAid trip to Zambia in February 2012 and hope that I will do the project proud.
I have been asked by friends and family about what the trip will mean to me and I have been giving this a lot of thought, especially after visiting The Gambia earlier on this year. Having met such a wonderful group of young people in Kerewan and savoured their out look on life I felt that I had more to offer. The importance that was placed on family rather than materialistic aspects of life was so different to that of the modern western world that my conscience was pricked and a desire to see and understand more was instilled. When this opportunity arrived to apply to become Veolia Water's representative I felt that this was a chance that was not to be missed. As with most things in life, if you don't take advantage of situations when they arise then you are not giving your destiny a chance.
I will be updating my blog on a regular basis with my thoughts / feelings and up coming events.
Best wishes to you all who are following
